The KMCH College of Physiotherapy Library is a vital academic resource hub, supporting the educational and research needs of students, faculty, and scholars. With one of the largest collections of Physiotherapy titles in the region, the library houses over 2,000 titles and 4,000 volumes spanning core and allied health sciences.

Digital Library

A separate Digital Library section offers access to a wide array of online journals, e-books, and digital resources in Medical, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, and related disciplines. This digital repository ensures students stay abreast of global advancements and research trends in physiotherapy.

Library Rules and Regulations

To ensure optimal use of the library facilities, the following regulations are in place: Open on all working days from 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM and closed on Sundays and Government Holidays.

General Guidelines

  • ID cards must be scanned at the E-Gate Register upon entry and exit
  • Wearing the college ID card inside the library is mandatory
  • Strict silence must be maintained at all times
  • Personal belongings (files, bags, issued books) are not allowed inside and should be kept on designated racks
  • An Open Access System is followed; materials removed from shelves must be left on reading tables for re-shelving
  • Students are not permitted inside the library during scheduled class hours

Book Issue & Return Policy

  • Books must be returned within 3 days or by the due date indicated
  • UG students may borrow 1 book, PG students 3 books, and faculty 3 books
  • Returned books will be re-issued from the next day only
  • Overdue fines: Rs.2 per day per book
  • Lost books must be reported and replaced within 30 days; if not, a payment of three times the cost will be required
  • Reference materials, CDs, DVDs, project reports, and journals are for in-library use only
  • Photocopying is permitted for articles; full book photocopying is not allowed
  • Membership can be revoked for non-compliance or misconduct

Students must clear all dues and obtain a No Due Certificate from the librarian before leaving the college.
