Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

Candidates passed Higher Secondary from Tamil Nadu State Board

The following certificates / documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies):

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  • HSC or equivalent mark statement
  • Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)

Candidates passed Higher Secondary from other than Tamil Nadu State Board

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  • HSC (10+2) or equivalent mark statement
  • Migration Certificate obtained from the respective board of their study
  • Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai
  • Community Certificate (except OC candidates)
  • Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
  • Copy of Aadhar Card

For NRI candidates

  • School Leaving Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  • HSC (10+2) or equivalent mark statement
  • Equivalence Certificate obtained from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (Shall be necessary, in case of clarification on their educational qualification)
  • Migration Certificate obtained from the respective board of their study
  • Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai
  • NRI status of financial supporter issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective country under their seal.
  • Certificate of Relationship between NRI financial supporter and the candidate issued by the competent authority, valid Indian Passport of the NRI financial supporter.
  • Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
  • NRE (Non Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book of the financial supporter.
  • Evidence for payment of US $ 1000 Development Charges to the college by the NRI financial supporter (one time payment at the time of admission)
  • Copy of Nativity Certificate
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)

Foreign Nationals

  • Birth Certificate
  • School Leaving Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  • HSC (10+2) or equivalent mark statement
  • Equivalence Certificate obtained from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi (Shall be necessary, in case of clarification on their educational qualification)
  • Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai
  • Original and Copies of Passport and Visa of the candidate.
  • Genuineness Certificate for the Mark Statement issued by the concerned Board / Ministry of Education.
  • No Objection Certificate issued by the concerned country’s Embassy in India
  • Genuineness Certificate for the NOC issued by the Embassy
  • Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

The following certificates / documents have to be submitted along with duly filled Application form (Originals + 4 Photostat Copies):

  • Transfer Certificate from the Institution last studied.
  • B.P.T Provisional/Degree Certificate.
  • B.P.T Mark Statements.
  • Internship Certificate for B.P.T Course
  • Migration Certificate for the students who have passed UG course other than The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.
  • CRRI Certificate.
  • Eligibility Certificate obtained from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai for students who have passed their UG degree other than The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.
  • Community Certificate (except the candidate belongs to Forward Community)
  • Passport Size Photographs (5 Nos.)
  • Copy of Aadhaar Card
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
  • The candidate with Masters Degree in Physiotherapy in different Branches / Specialties is eligible to pursue PhD program.
  • The faculty/scholar who wish to register for a Ph.D Degree should have obtained a minimum of 55% as aggregate in their Post Graduate Degree.
  • Duration of research is 3 years for full time candidate and 4 years for part time candidate.
  • The candidates applying for Ph.D. Provisional Registration in The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University should obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University following presentation of their research work before Screening Committee.
  • All the Ph.D. candidates should undergo the training in Research Methodology, Biostatistics and Bio-ethics.
  • The provisional registration of a candidate for Ph.D Degree shall be confirmed on successful completion of the Part I Methodology examinations.
  • There shall be a Research Advisory Committee for every candidate for whom approval of the provisional registration has been granted by this University.
