Advanced Physiotherapy in Neurology

Programme Overview

Neurological Physiotherapy is a specialized domain within physiotherapy focused on the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals with disorders affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. Conditions commonly addressed include stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, brain and spinal cord tumors, as well as neurological trauma such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injuries.

These disorders often result in impaired movement, coordination, balance, muscle strength, and functional independence. The primary goal of neurological physiotherapy is to enhance neuroplasticity, facilitate motor learning, and improve overall functional performance and quality of life.
